Somewhere between corporate deadlines, client calls, and the occasional snack attack, I fell off the fitness wagon. And by “fell off,” I mean I got comfortable—too comfortable. Long hours, fast food, and excuses became the norm.
But then I had a realization: I used to be an athlete. A Division 1 Track & Field sprinter, blasting through the 200m and 400m dashes like my life depended on it. I was also in the US Army National Guard, trained for discipline and endurance. So why was I out of breath just tying my shoes?
It was time for a mindset shift.
How It Started vs. How It’s Going…
I love a challenge, so I put one to the test—Could I really lose 1 lb of fat per week just by walking 10,000 steps a day?
For 73 days straight, I walked. Rain or shine. Through sickness, body aches, and moments of “Why am I doing this?” And guess what? At my annual check-up, I had lost 20 pounds. (Plot twist: I didn’t weigh myself during the challenge because I wanted the data to slap me in the face later.)
Now? I’m hooked. Walking was just the beginning. Now, I’m on a mission to build endurance, sculpt my body, and optimize my strength—without overcomplicating fitness.
